Chargers Golf teams crowned National Champs!

The Chargers hosted the CCAA’s inaugural National Golf Championships in 2000, and went on to best Canada’s finest to claim the first-ever CCAA Men’s Golf National title. The 3-round event was held Oct. 12-14 at the Arbutus Golf Club and Olympic View. Charger Luke Sheard won the Men’s Individual title with a 3-day total of 217.

The Chargers women also made it to the podium with a national silver medal finish. One year later, the Chargers women shot their way to National Gold at the 2001 CCAA Championships hosted by Durham College in Oshawa, ON. Charger Debbie Janes won the Women’s Individual title, shooting 241 over three rounds. In men’s action, the Chargers picked up their second podium finish at Nationals, capping the season with a CCAA silver medal.
