In 2016, Eye? Sqa’lewen, Camosun’s Centre for Indigenous Education and Community Connections (IECC), celebrated 25 years of excellence in Indigenous education, programming and service to community.
Today, Camosun welcomes more than 1,100 Indigenous students from 50 nations each year. Eyēʔ Sqậ’lewen facilitates academic, financial and cultural services for students, an Elders program, Indigenous community connections, Indigenous programs and courses, special projects and events to enhance the Indigenous student experience, indigenization, and Indigenous research.

Camosun also now offers close to 60 courses that integrate Indigenous content into the curriculum, as well as a number of certificate and diploma programs that are customized for Indigenous students in health care, human services, business and trades.
Camosun continues to work with local First Nations and Indigenous communities to identify and develop culturally sensitive programming and important initiatives focused on education and actions toward reconciliation.
