MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ADDED TO CAMOSUN’S SUITE OF TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS
The Mechanical Engineering Technology program opened in September 1985. Base upon computer applications, and supported by a grant from the Federal Government Skills Growth Fund, the program introduced CAD/CAM to the Interurban Campus. It also lead to a unique pilot Engineering Bridge Program providing graduate technologists an opportunity to obtain advanced entry to Mechanical Engineering at UVIC.
